Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. She is most famous for her character, Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she won an Emmy Award. Also, she is known for her role on the drama show All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney is the sole child of a United Auto Workers senior executive and a domestic worker, was raised by her four siblings. Though she had a goal of becoming journalist, it was not until her high school years when Delaney started modeling. Following her move away from New York City and gaining experiences as a commercial model in New York did she achieve the career as aspiring court reporters. Her first role acting was as a young girl in the soap opera All My Children. Delaney was in numerous of television shows, films and dramatics since then. She has not had a good or satisfying personal life. Her personal life has been a mess. She's had two failed marriages, and has struggled with alcohol addiction. She was divorced in 2005 and lost custody of the only child she had.
